Dawn Staley and her Brazilian superstar, Kamilla Cardoso, who led South Carolina, have had a demanding few months. The ever-so-resilient Gamecocks have proved that their group is not just champions, but they stand undefeated once again. With this year’s championship trophy, Staley became the only African American coach in DI basketball to have 3 National titles and an undefeated path. Hence, there was no doubt that their homecoming was also going to be something huge. But that’s not really Dawn Staley-esque.

To add more oomph to the already dazzling entry, the entire Gamecocks team entered the University of South Carolina Championship parade in Chevrolet Corvettes. And their boss had an even more enticing ride.

Staley rode around Columbia, South Carolina, in a white Dawn, a convertible by Rolls Royce. The luxury car starts at the whopping price of $359,250. She also showed off a UFC belt of champions. This was a gift of appreciation by Mayor Daniel Rickenmann. The entire team, too, rolled down the streets in Chevrolet Corvettes with their star guard Cardoso choosing a grey shade for the day. Others rode in green, red, blue, and black ones. Even these begin with their base models at $69,995.

The sun was on full blare today as the Gamecocks’ name echoed through the streets. However, everyone was more than happy to be at this place again just after two years. Adding to the festivities was the Richland County coroner’s office. The creative department played with their forte and got a float with tombstones of all other NCAA teams in Staley’s path to victory. It’s safe to say the fans loved every bit of the celebrations.

One fan applauded the team for the entire run, saying this is the entry that the champions truly deserve, especially after an unbeaten season. In the process, they became the first team since 2016 with a perfect record and it was only the 10th instance in women’s DI history.

“Well deserved ladies!! Congratulations again on a perfect season! Go Gamecocks!!” Another U of SC fan was also quick to point out how Dawn Staley was vibing with her Rolls Royce- Dawn, a perfect namesake for the legendary coach. “What makes this cooler is that, This is the Rolls Royce Dawn.”
