Caitlin Clark is on a rampage. On Sunday, she went ahead of Pete Maravich’s all-time leading scorer record. For her exceptional achievement, Clark has been receiving congratulatory messages from fans and celebrities alike. NBA legends such as LeBron James and USA President Joe Biden noticed Clark’s milestone and lauded her for it. Now another celebrity has come forward to heap praises on Clark for her spectacular record.

Hall of Famer Lynette Woodard applauded Clark for her noteworthy skills and also tagged her as the greatest player to exist in the current scenario. And that has all the fans drooling over Woodard’s humility and her penchant for spotting talent.

“Well she’s the greatest player right now. I said three things well taken from real estate Location, Location, Location. That baby got the range, I’m trying to tell you and once she gets started today it’s gonna be on, it’s gonna be on,” Woodard stated.

Clark had previously eclipsed Woodard’s record when she reached 3,650 career points. Woodard has notably decimated 3,649 points in her four years with Kansas Jayhawks. Unfortunately the women’s college basketball was taken under the AIAW (Association of Intercollegiate Athletics for Women) and the NCAA does not recognize records before it took women’s basketball under it before 1982.

Woodard’s record therefore wasn’t known by many fans before Clark broke it and went ahead of it. And a humble Woodard pointed out that Clark has a great range. Clark is famous for her three-pointers, especially her logo threes. And this season, she broke another record when she went ahead of the Idaho star Taylor Pierce in a single season three-pointer record.

Probably it was wishes from stars such as Woodard that inspired Clark to go all guns blazing on Sunday.

How did the Caitlin Clark & Co. perform?

Clark received a lot of praise and accolades on Sunday. She went ahead to smash 35 points against Ohio State Buckeyes and helped her team win the game by a 93-83 margin. She was supported by the other players namely Hannah Stuelke who thrashed 23 points with 9 rebounds. Therefore, it was an all and all brilliant offensive display by Hawkeyes.

Now that Clark has accomplished another milestone, fans would want her to finish this season on a high. They would be expecting Clark to go ahead and clinch the NCAA Championship title something that she missed out on last year.
