From setbacks to comebacks

The Bayou Barbie had to face the wrath of the haters in the season opener. The Tigers lost their match against a #20 ranked team and taking advantage of this situation, many criticized the Tigers star player. But with her unapologetic attitude, she stood back up and won every single match after that.

But the universe had other plans for Reese. In the Tigers match against Kent State, she was benched and tension was blatant between her and Coach Kim Mulkey. After that, Reese was absent from straight four games, because of unknown reasons, other than ‘coach’s decision’ and ‘locker room issues.’

But getting past all the hurdles, Reese shines bright in the ongoing season. She is currently averaging 19.9 points, 10 rebounds, and 1.8 assists per game.
