Business as usual for the Trojans as they secure yet another monumental victory. In a one-sided contest, USC bludgeoned Oregon 88-51 to secure their 19th win of the season. Meanwhile, for their formidable No.12 Juju Watkins, the fixture turned out to be yet another walk in the park. It was, however, her antics at half-time that caught the eye of basketball enthusiasts.

The game was moving at a brisk pace with the visitors firmly in control at 54-21. At the time, just when the half-time buzzer was about to go off, Watkins decided to turn it into a spectacle. From a distance of 30 feet, the 6 ft 2 in shooting guard launched a long-range shot that landed perfectly into the net. This breathtaking 3-pointer synchronized perfectly with the buzzer.

As a result, the rather ‘disrespectful’ shot received a loud reception from the Oregon crowd. They couldn’t help but bow to Watkins’ greatness. Similarly, Juju’s highlight-reel shot also received applause on social media. As soon as this beyond-the-arc strike went viral, many fans flooded the socials with their reactions.

Juju and the buzzer, fans in a furor after Watkins 3-pointer

After the game, the official USC page posted Juju’s shot on their Instagram page captioned, “JUJU BEAT THE BUZZER AGAIN‼️” Following this, comments started pouring in as fans couldn’t keep their cool. An Instagram user commended Juju’s basketball and called her a “Generational Talent.” Another fan talked about the opposition’s game plans and left a snide comment, “I mean what are the game plans because they aren’t working clearly.”

A few comments were a rather clever take on the young athlete, “JuJu, why you do them like that, sis?! You already know they ain’t ready!!” Another was a quip remark on USC’s history with Oregon that said, “At least we have one program where USC beats Oregon.” At the same time, some couldn’t help but be awe-struck by JuJu’s talents, “The closest female bber I’ve seen compared to Kobe at that age.”

JuJu Watkins is no doubt showing the shades that can make her a legend before she even leaves USC. She is not only an impressive athlete but clearly a beloved baller for many fans.
