Sabrina Ionescu shares a close relationship with Stephen Curry. Often drawing comparisons to the NBA star, Ionescu has crafted a place for herself in the WNBA. Both have a much similar style of play, relying much on logo threes and mid-range three-pointers. Recently, Ionescu showed her excitement for a Steph Curry moment that proved that despite being opponents, Ionescu and Curry share a warm relationship.

Curry was playing against the Phoenix Suns when he basketed a 33 feet three-pointer that left his fans surprised. And much like everyone else, Ionescu shared the snap from the moment on her social media networking site Instagram account story.

Ionescu seemed to be congratulating Curry for his on-court brilliance on Sunday. The applause made rounds on the internet since it was coming from one champion of three-pointers to another champion of threes. The post had a carousel of two media files – the first one was a picture of Curry roaring after the game-changing moment and after that was the video of his final three-pointer. It was originally shared by the Golden State Warriors official Instagram account.

The Golden State Warriors were battling it out against the Phoenix Suns when as per BBC the score was in favor of the Suns with 112-110. It was then that Curry took a pass from Brandin Podziemski and turned to shoot a game-winning three-pointer with 0.7 seconds left. Curry smashed his team’s highest 30 points with 9 rebounds and 6 assists. Though he missed a double-double but stood up and turned the tide when his team needed it the most.

However, it was Curry who helped the Warriors edge past and win the game which though was a neck-to-neck competition but seemed to be going in favor of the Suns. With this victory, the Warriors emerged triumphant in the fourth contest in a row.

What is Ionescu up to?

Meanwhile, Ionescu would be looking to get the best out of her and be a tough contender to Curry during their 3-point challenge at the NBA All-Star festivities on February 17. She would be trying to prepare as much as she can so that she doesn’t give an easy route of victory to Curry.
