The legacy of Kobe and Gigi Bryant cannot be simply put into words. However, with every passing year, the world tries it. The Los Angeles Lakers star’s daughter would have continued the basketball legacy Kobe created. And as Nike introduces the all-new Kobe 8 Protro ‘Mambacita’ to give its respect to the stellar high school hooper, Kim Mulkey does not wait to get her hands on them. On what would be her 18th birthday, the LSU WBB head coach and Gianna’s mother take some time to mourn the loss of her transformational talent.

Mulkey prayed that the world should continue celebrating the influence that the two basketball players in the Bryant family had. She displayed the latest Kobe 8 Protro ‘Mambacita’ in the post. She also captioned it, “Happy 18th Birthday Gigi! May we continue to remember and celebrate the impact you had on our game.”

The ‘Mambacita’ line was a gift of Gigi to the world. Her father, Kobe Bryant, called her the name in adoration. With the love of butterflies, right mentality, confidence, and aggressiveness, Nike released the shoes to commemorate the things that defined the young Bryant. The shoes also have the number “2” that Gigi wore in her Mamba Academy, the name GIGI, and an add-on heart that says ‘Mambacita’. However, Nike and Kim Mulkey were not the only ones to celebrate the copy of Kobe Bryant.

Gigi had already announced that she wanted to be a Husky. The storied tales of Geno Auriemma’s focused group did not leave her, and Kobe was only proud of her. He believed that Gigi was going to be just like him as a player in the women’s league. While the unfortunate event is never forgotten, Kim Mulkey and the entire world still remember the two sensational hoopers.
