As mentioned, Jameer Nelson Jr. is former NBA legend Jameer Nelson’s son. Nelson Jr. had first committed to St. Joseph’s under the head coach Phil Martelli. He plied his trade for the George Washington for two years before transferring to the Delaware for the next two seasons. While at the Washington he basketed an average of 10.4 points per game during the first season in 2019-20.
