The realms of sports and entertainment collided when a rumor’s potential exploded into stunning headlines. After a game last week, a reporter’s footage sparked rumors that North Carolina guard Paxson Wojcik was dating beauty mogul Kylie Jenner. The news gained momentum since Wojcik mentioned UNC’s next meet in Los Angeles, where Kylie resides. Additionally, the timing couldn’t have been any weirder for Wojcik, one of the six men’s NCAA players who recently signed a NIL deal with one of Kardashian’s sisters’ brands—SKIMS.

First things first: 6-foot-5 Wojcik’s foundation was set as the son of Michigan State assistant men’s basketball coach Doug Wojcik. He honed his basketball skills at the La Lumiere School then as a sophomore at the Dick’s Sporting Goods National Championship led his basketball team. He played 45 games for Loyola Chicago (2019–21), going 13–26 from the field and setting two career highs of 17 points the next season. He scored a career-high 25 points against Yale in the season finale of 2022–2023!

Wojcik transferred to North Carolina this season after previously playing at Brown and Loyola-Chicago. He has played in thirty games for the Tar Heels this season, averaging slightly over eight minutes per game and 1.5 points per game. In the top-seeded Tar Heels 85-69 victory over Michigan State in the second round of the NCAA tournament, Wojcik contributed eight points and will further take on No. 4 Alabama in the Sweet 16. Paxson Wojcik spurred dating rumor

In Charlotte, North Carolina, Wojcik was asked directly, “What do you have to say about rumors that Kylie slid into your DMs???”  Wojcik played along saying that his team will be in Los Angeles next week as he avoided answering any of the rumors outright. Afterward, Wojcik’s manager, TJ Beisner, told TMZ that Wojcik hadn’t spoken to Kylie, rejecting the story as made up and admitting that his humor was inappropriate.

It was also awkward since Wojcik recently shared a photo with Travis Scott(Kylie’s kids’ dad), which was shot in October when the rapper surprised the UNC men’s basketball team during practice at Dean Smith Center.
