Hailing from San Francisco, Kiki is born to athletic couple John Rice and Andrea Rice. John played college basketball for the Yale Bulldogs. Meanwhile, her mother Andrea also attended Yale as she was a part of their tennis program. Apart from his athletic abilities, John has immense potential in the field of management. He pursued his MBA and graduated from Harvard Business School in 1992. After this, John was Senior Manager for 4 years at The Walt Disney Company. He spearheaded their operations in Miami and Orlando. Then, his passion for basketball led him to knock on the doors of the NBA. He was appointed the Managing Director of NBA’s Latin America and Japan division for the next four years.

Following this, in 2002, he started a non-profit organization called Management Leadership for Tomorrow. As its founder and its CEO, he has spent two decades providing services to ensure that talented underrepresented minorities are assisted on the path of senior leadership. At the same time, Kiki’s mother Andrea is also a well-established professional.

Andrea Rice was a well-known tennis player during her collegiate years at Yale. Kiki Rice is also related to popular US diplomat Susan Rice. Susan has been a former Former Domestic Policy Advisor under Joe Biden. Moreover, she has also served as a National Security Advisor for almost 4 years in the White House. She started her career in the U.S. Department of State where the department appointed her as the 12th Assistant Secretary of State for African Affairs in 1997. Following this, in 2009 Susan became the 27th United States Ambassador to the United Nations. Further, she is also a very talented author and published a book under the title “Tough Love.”

Apart from this, Kiki is the cousin of the former NBA star Allan Houston. The 6 ft 6 in shooting star had a prolific career with the New York Knicks. In his nine seasons, he became a two-time NBA All-Star. Moreover, he was also a part of the was a member of the Knicks’ 1999 NBA Finals team and won a gold medal while representing the U.S. men’s basketball team at the 2000 Summer Olympics.

An insight on Kiki’s brother Teo

Kiki Rice’s brother Teo Rice followed his father’s footsteps and announced his announcement to Yale in 2021. In his inaugural season for the Bulldogs, he came off the bench on 3 occasions. His name first appeared on the score sheet against Yale’s win over Vassar. In his sophomore season, the No.12 guard played 11 games. Currently, he is averaging 2 points and 2.3 rebounds per game as a junior.

Kiki Rice comes from a wide background of talent both on and off the court. It will be interesting to see what will be her career option after she completes her college.
