Six months after the LSU Lady Tigers won the 2023 NCAA Division I women’s basketball tournament, the waves of victory can still be felt. Angel Reese and Caitlin Clark became college basketball’s two greatest stars bringing a significant change to the game. Moreover, the tournament got a little more historic as Reese became the first player to score 25 points, 20 rebounds, and 5 blocks in the game since the year 2000.

Although it has been a little overdue, however, the celebrations are finally coming in for the LSU.

Angel Reese goes on a championship trip

The celebration is about to begin at LSU. Angel Reese feels a hangover after $160,000,000 million rich rap G.O.A.T. announced to perform at PMAC. Her latest Instagram stories posted an announcement, which stated that rapper Lil Wayne is going to perform in Baton Rouge next month on November 15th. Moreover, Reese captioned the story – “This just what we do.”

The New Orleans-born rap superstar will be taking a trip to perform at the Pete Maravich Assembly Center (PMAC) in Baton Rouge. Accompanying him will be the concert’s special guest and rapper Latto. The event will commemorate the Lady Tigers’ historic win over the Iowa Hawkeyes.

The announcement has also been posted on LSU’s Instagram handle, with a caption – “Lil Wayne is coming to the PMAC on November 15 with Latto. Tickets go on sale Tuesday at 10 a.m. CT!” This is going to be a grand affair to cherish for the LSU Lady Tigers.

Lil Wayne and LSU going way back

Ever since LSU won the National Championship, both artists have reached out and made musical connections. Notably, during the national championship-winning season, Lil Wayne showed his support for LSU coach Kim Mulkey and the women’s basketball team.

Moreover, he narrated the LSU Lady Tigers’ promo video and Facetimed the LSU star Angel Reese. He also talked about a musical collaboration with the LSU guard Flau’jae Johnson.

On the other hand, the young soul Latto aka Big Latto showered her support for Angel Reese after Bayou Barbie did a cameo in Latto’s famous single – “Put It on Da Floor Again,” featuring Cardi B. In the song, Cardi B refers to the Lady Tigers in her verse – “I been ballin’ so damn hard, could’ve went to LSU.”
