But before that, Shaq made a statement that floored Reese. According to Nice Kicks’ X page, he called Reese “the GOAT”. Shaq said, “There is no one making a bigger impact on the game right now than Angel Reese.” 

For the unversed, as per Fibre 2 Fashion, NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal was appointed as the President of Reebok Basketball on Monday, following their announcement regarding revival plans.

These plans aim to help Reebok come back into the team sport and help them partner with basketball at a global level. Earlier, Shaq had collaborated with the brand during the 90s. Then, he helped the brand reach across a wide variety of audiences.

In the footwear category, the brand has an extensive reach across specialty, mid-tier, off-price, and mass channels. This is a further testament to Shaq’s global appeal.

As per Sports Illustrated, Reebok announced singing an NIL deal with Louisiana State University Lady Tigers’ star Angel Reese. This deal happens to be the first after the appointment of the NBA legend Shaq O’Neal.

With this contract, Reese will join the likes of NFL quarterback Justin Fields, and basketball icon Allen Iverson. From October 17, fans will be able to buy a limited edition celebratory t-shirt and also get access to a collection curated by their favorite star – Angel Reese.
