The Louisiana State University guard Flau’jae Johnson is a champion on and off the court. Apart from winning hearts with her performances for the Lady Tigers this season, her rapping skills equally make her a fan favourite.

Johnson is a brilliant hip-hop and R&B artist who never fails to elate with her enchanting music. Her journey in the music industry started with the single “Can You Hear Me Now” which was a fan favorite. The 20-year-old once again won all hearts when she came forward with her EP titled “4 Wave” on Friday.

How is the EP?

The EP has four major songs titled “Hold On”, “Incredible”, “Feel Yo Pain”, and “4 Wave Freestyle.” Johnson’s creativity knows no bounds and an Instagram page named “Overtime WBB” posted two snippets from her video songs on their page informing the fans that their favorite Georgia-born had released her EP. The two songs that received widespread attention through this post were “4 WAVE Freestyle” and “Feel Yo Pain.”

The carousel on the social networking site Instagram had 4 media files. The first one showed Flau’jae in her rapper style giving out dapper vibes, with a hoodie in the background. The caption pasted on that picture stated “Flau’jae New Music is (three fire emoticons).” The next media showed Johnson singing  “4 WAVE Freestyle” while on a cruise. 

The third media in the carousel showed Johnson singing the “Feel Yo Pain” track at alone at night. This music will surely heartwarm fans especially since Valentine’s Day is near. The last media was a snap of Johnson at the same location where her track “Feel Yo Pain” was shot.

The caption of the entire carousel was “I’m about to have her new EP on REPEAT 🔁 y’all can listen wherever you get your music 🎧 @flaujae.” It also tagged Johnson’s official Instagram account in the end. And fans had varied reactions to her music.

How did the fans react to this?

While one fan recalled his connection with Johnson since her beginning days by commenting Been watching her since the Rap game days ifyk yk,” another fan acknowledged that Johnson had spurts of growth by stating “She grew up so fast.😢.” Johnson as mentioned previously had a breakthrough with her first song titled “Can You Hear Me Now” in 2017 and sure she has transformed the way she looks within quite some time. Another fan showered praises on Johnson opining that she is “Already a Legend.”

However, there were also followers who didn’t look pleased with Johnson. One of them mocked Johnson by exclaiming “Stick to basketball.” The fan must have seen Johnson playing brilliantly on the LSU court and tried to remind her of the same. Another fan came forward and didn’t look pleased with the EP, enumerating “if it was so fire y’all wouldn’t have to post it, it would do numbers on its own.” The internet surely seems divided in their opinions over Johnson’s rapping capabilities.

Whatever the impression, Johnson has surely grabbed all eyeballs with her tracks. And it would be better to listen to them on their own and then make a judgment about them. Hoping Johnson will go ahead capturing hearts unanimously through her basketball skills.
