Dalton Knecht is a remarkable player having shockingly impressive playmaking skills. This season, he has been averaging 15.7 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 1.5 assists. Also, he is shooting with a field goal percentage of 45.5%.
During his time at Northern Colorado, he played 34 games for the Bears. At the time, he averaged 24.2 minutes per game. Moreover, talking about his scorecard, he was averaging 9.1 points per game, finishing with a total of 125 rebounds, along with 17 steals and 17 blocks per game.

During his senior season, he led the Big Sky Conference with 20.2 points and 7.2 rebounds. Also, he shot with a 38.1 shooting percentage from the 3-point line. After the season was completed, Knecht decided to make use of the extra year that was granted to him in 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic. Entering the transfer portal, he then transferred to Tennessee.
He then started playing for the Volunteers and was named the Southeastern Conference Player of the Week in his first week after he scored 17 points in the Volunteers’ season opener win against Tennessee Tech. Similarly, he scored 24 points, and 5 rebounds and led Tennessee to an 80-70 victory over Wisconsin.
In addition, he scored a career-high 37 points in a matchup against North Carolina. Although, the matchup was a loss, however, Knecht did manage to get all eyes on him with his back-to-back dunks.

Tenacious Tennessee
Knoxville’s shining bright with the “Vols” competing in Division I of both the NCAA and the SEC. The team is currently being coached by Rick Barnes. Notably, several talented players have played for the team namely, Bernard King, Dale Ellis, Allan Houston, Tobias Harris, and Chris Lofton. All of these players either are playing or have already played in the NBA.
Last season, the Vols finished at 25-11, and 11-7 in the SEC grabbing the 4th position. Moreover, as the No. 5 seed in the SEC Tournament, they thrashed Ole Miss before their defeat against Missouri in the quarterfinals. Similarly, they ranked as the No.4 seed in the East Region in the NCAA Tournament, defeating Louisiana in the first round, followed by Duke in the second round, hence reaching the Sweet Sixteen.

Now, with Knecht on the roster, it is the season to cherish for the Vols. Meanwhile, Knecht too will have to keep on working towards other aspects of his gameplay as just making dunks won’t win it all.
