The Gonzaga Bulldogs may be one of the greatest teams in the history of college basketball. The records this team has broken are aplenty and everybody knows how dangerous they are. The Bulldogs are undefeated this season and could become the first team in almost 50 years to win the title after an undefeated regular season.

NCAA Analyst Seth Greenberg called them one of the greatest offensive teams in NCAA history. He said:

“Gonzaga is a historically great offensive team. They are the most efficient offensive team in college basketball. So what do they have? If you break down their team, number one, the flow they run from transition game right to offense. They are not a reset team, they have great high basketball IQ.”

Greenberg spoke about Jalen Suggs extensively and then spoke about the supporting cast around Suggs in this elite team. He said:

“They’ve got Corey Kispert. Every time he shoots, you feel it’s going in. You’ve got Drew Timme, a guy that has tremendous footwork, and I haven’t even mentioned Joel Ayayi. He’s got the only triple-double in the history of Gonzaga. They’re an elite offensive team, they play with a great flow, they share the basketball, they are a terrific shooting team. But they also score 51 points in the paint. They are that good offensively.”

The NCAA Tournament is the stage for crazy basketball upsets. There is a reason why the last undefeated team to win the tournament was in 1976. There have been more undefeated regular season teams since that crumbled in the post-season. This title run may be much harder than anyone expected for the Zags.

However, the depth on this team is genuinely incredible. Coach Mark Few has built a fantastic team, and the players have developed really well. With both Kispert and Suggs expected to be lottery picks in the NBA Draft, the job that they have all done is being validated. But the ultimate goal is a championship.
