As the fans get themselves ready for March Madness, another exciting news is waiting for them around the corner. As it turns out, all the big names in the world of women’s college basketball are set to feature in this year’s All-Star game. However, the three NCAA names that no one can’t get enough of are Caitlin Clark, Cameron Brink, and Angel Reese.

Evidently, the three of them are the most talked about athletes in the recent watch list released for the women’s college All-Star game. Moreover, these three will be instrumental in attracting a huge crowd for the spectacle that will take place.

Caitlin Clark, Cameron Brink, and Angel Reese set to steal the spotlight

Intersport CEO Charlie Besser recently made a huge announcement about a mega event on April 6th. The Wolstein Center in Cleveland, Ohio, will host a spectacular affair that the fans of college basketball have been waiting for since October 2006. In an official statement, Besser said, “Women’s basketball deserves this platform to celebrate these athletes and their accomplishments, and we’re excited to provide a stage for the nation’s best to come together at the Women’s College All-Star Game.” 

However, what had the fans engulfed in the announcement was the player pool that had all the superstars in it. The list included 50 players from 43 schools with the likes of Caitlin Clark, Angel Reese, and Cameron Brink being noteworthy mentions.

Other prominent names who caught attention are South Carolina’s Kamilla Cardoso, UConn’s Aaliyah Edwards, and Tennessee’s Rickea Jackson. It appears that the watch list contains the names of those players who are in their senior campaign.

Meanwhile, there were some other interesting details about the event that caught everyone’s eye.

The anticipated event is expected to take place during the weekend of the Final Four held in Cleveland. Out of these 50 players, only 20 will be shortlisted for the final list. However, the timeline of the final list is not clear. Moreover, Former Marquette head coach Terri Mitchell will be one of the deciding authorities for the final cut. Further, she has also been appointed as the “Game Ambassador.”

There is no denying that spectators would absolutely love to see Caitlin and Angel play side by side. While this is the last NCAA season for Clark, she may want to go out with a bang. Also, it will be a perfect way for Reese to bid farewell to her arch-nemesis.
