The ongoing 2024 WNBA draft has everyone’s eyes on it. With one of the most stacked draft classes in basketball history, some even comparing it to the famed 1996 and 2003 NBA draft classes, fans were looking forward to seeing some exciting team-ups. As expected, the NCAA Division I all-time leading scorer, Caitlin Clark, is the overall No.1 draft pick and the Indiana Fever becomes her home for now in the WNBA.

Consequently, reactions have been pouring in from every corner with some known entities joining the fans to extend their thrill. The 6 ft 5 in point guard of NBA’s Indiana Pacers Tyrese Haliburton became one such name to welcome the Iowa Hawkeyes icon to the Hoosier State.

As soon as Clark’s inclusion in the Fever was made official, the 2x NBA All-Star tweeted, “Glad we’re finally on the same side! Congrats and welcome to the city!! @CaitlinClark22.” The NBA assists leader has been a part of Indiana’s roster since 2022 and has become one of the best guards in the league during his time in the city. Can Clark follow suit and bring more success to the state?

Meanwhile, the 2012 WNBA champions have an impressive lot of ballers in their locker room. The 22-year-old will join forces with the likes of Aliyah Boston, who was the previous year’s No. 1 overall pick. In addition to this, the Fever also has NaLyssa Smith and Kelsey Mitchell. With her prolific scoring, passing abilities, and pinpoint three-point accuracy, Clark will be a worthy addition who can increase their chances for a championship this season.
