“My style is a mix of feminine and masculine.” Paige Bueckers hit the bull’s eye when describing her fashion sense. For the ESPYS, the freshly minted Highest Earning Female Athlete at UConn in the NIL store went for her favorite color. She recently disclosed that purple was her preference by commenting on the colorway of the Golden State Valkyries. However, right after entering the venue, the Husky changed into a much deeper outfit. While the nominee for the Best Comeback Athlete could not take the award home, she definitely took away everyone’s attention.

Talking on the red carpet, Paige Bueckers broke down her complete look. She said, “David Yurman jewelry. This is a KidSuper suit. I’m one of the first athletes that they’re working with. And Jimmy Choo on the shoes.” The UConn guard brought the cool to the event with this two-piece masterpiece by Designer Colm Dillane of the streetwear house– KidSuper. It also included an embroidery patch featuring one of the brand’s faces as a doodle.

Paige Bueckers and her “hype woman era”

Remember the promise that the Edina native made when she posted her photos from the 2024 WNBA draft night? Back in April, she had four words to describe her fashion, “My hype woman era.” Since then, we have seen her in all sorts of luxurious fabrics and rich bright colors. For the draft night, where she went to support Aaliyah Edwards and Nika Muhl, she adorned an all-white Louis Vuitton look.

Very recently, she was featured on the HighSnobiety cover page named, “The Paige Bueckers Edit.” In the magazine, she opens up on her story. Whether it is her dressing sense or her game, she has evolved in every aspect. Moreover, with the celebrity stylist Brittany Hampton, her inner fashionista has only risen to higher levels.

One other way that she is growing is by being vocal. In the 2021 ESPYS, when she received the Best Female College Athlete, Bueckers used the stage to shine more light on African-American athletes. The hooper repeated the same as she spoke up about the women that she has spent a significant amount of her lifetime with. These include her high school coach and stepmother.

She told Brianna Holt of HighSnobiety, “I’ve grown up with a lot of influential Black women in my life and they’ve each helped raise me, mentored me, and did a lot of things for me.” We can certainly see how incredibly this 22-year-old is evolving in every aspect of her life. As for her fashion game, we can rest assured that she will soon drop more breathtaking shots just like she will with her basketball.
