JuJu Watkins is having a dream debut as freshman. Her court wizardry is not only making USC a triumphant team, but also making the greats of the game drool over her ball mavericks. Her latest performance has now caught the King’s attention.

Watkins was part of the USC women’s basketball team when they lately bagged a 70-62 win against the Cougars. As the team’s leading scorer, Watkins scored 29 points, 7 rebounds, 2 assists, and 3 blocks. Also, she shot with a field goal percentage of 37% including 28.6% 3-point shots and 87.5% of free throws. These stats earned her The Chosen One’s shoutout.

Apart from JuJu Watkins’ staggering stats, her ankle-breaking shot towards the end of the game became the major highlight of the match. The shot came when the Cougars were putting pressure on Watkins toward the left wing. However, she shook it off and a Washington player fell while twisting her ankle. What followed was a remarkable 3-point shot.

The moment caught King LeBron James’ attention as he shared the snippet of the shot being made on his recent Instagram stories with the caption, “hahahaha !! @jujubballin.”

This season JuJu has been averaging 26.5 points, 7.5 rebounds, and 3.6 assists per game. Moreover, she has been shooting with a field goal percentage of 43.9%. “The Unites States’ No. 2 is one of the major reasons why USC is on the map and in conversation right now,” Carolyn Peck, the American TV sportscaster puts it.
