She also leads in assists average and steals average with 3.7 assists per match and 2.4 steals per contest. The Trojans will rely on her heavily like they have been doing in the past and she might prove to be a difficult player to contain.

For the Bruins, their alpha has been their center, Lauren Betts. Betts has potted 16 points per match and also stands atop the rebounds average tally with 9 rebounds per game. Thus, she has taken complete advantage of her skills.

It will be interesting to see who will ultimately stand out in the clash of Watkins and Betts. Both have been the key players for their respective teams.

Another player to keep an eye on is the Bruins’ guard Kiki Rice. Rice has played the role of an assist maker quite well. She has been selfless and always looked for gaps to create opportunities for her teammates.

Her efforts are a major reason that the Bruins have won 14 matches in a row. Currently, she has 6.2 assists per game. If Rice continues her brilliant game then the Bruins will clinch another victory.

Head to Head

As per UCLA Bruins’ official site, the Bruins have won 33 matches against the USC Trojans women’s basketball team while bearing the brunt in 22. The game can swing on either side. The UCLA look to be more rounded team this season but the Trojans will play this game at their home. This home advantage can swing the game in their favor.

The UCLA also haven’t lost any of the 14 matches and it would surely end on a not-so-disappointing note for the Bruins if they are defeated by another ranked team. Overall, the Trojans look to be the dominating side specifically when playing at home.
