Lisa Bluder heaps praises for Caitlin Clark
After Iowa’s victory over Penn State, Bluder addressed the media to answer some questions. At this time, a reporter asked her what legacy will Caitlin Clark leave behind in Iowa once she becomes the lead scorer. To which the head coach replied, “I fully intend that she will be the leading scorer of all time. That’s amazing, but I think people are going to remember her not only for her scoring but her passing. She’s almost reached 1000 assists. I think there’s only five other players that have accomplished that.”

Clark is just 39 points away from breaking Kelsey Plum’s all-time scoring record. In addition to this, she only needs 5 more assists to reach the 1000 mark. Bluder further added, “Being an all-around player like that is amazing. The specialness of the way she scores, the logo 3’s, people are going to remember that. It’s just unique, and I also think people will remember how she has elevated our game. How she has been a role model for all these kids who love to watch her play.”
