Micah Handlogten knew Florida was the right fit the moment he visited campus. After that first trip, he texted his mother to cancel all other visits, saying, “This is where I’m going.” While he settled into the program he wished to, things haven’t been smooth for him here. He suffered a severe leg injury, but keeping spirits high, he fought his way back to help Florida capture a national championship.

Even after that success, Micah has stayed grounded. While many college athletes focus on building their brands, he’s kept his attention on basketball. Still, his standout play has earned him a few NIL deals and a modest but growing net worth.

Though the exact figures of Micah Handlogten’s net worth are not publicly available, it is in no way a reflection of his talent. The young star is also making noise, and fans are eager to know about his college career.
Micah Handlogten’s college career
Micah Handlogten’s path to college basketball success wasn’t straightforward. After averaging 17 points and 13 rebounds as a high school senior, his best Division I offer came from Marshall. His mother, Danielle, though, believed it was more about fate, believing his journey unfolded exactly as it was meant to. “Micah was a late-bloomer,… I’m a believer that God has a plan,” she said. “If Micah had gone to a big school right away, he probably would’ve ended up sitting on the bench.”
As a freshman in 2022-23, Handlogten averaged 7.6 points, 9.8 rebounds, 2.3 blocks, and 1.3 steals per game while being named the Sun Belt Conference Freshman of the Year. Just after a year, Micah transferred to Florida, and tragedy struck in his first year in Florida.

Just two minutes into the 2024 SEC championship game, he broke his leg after going up for a rebound, causing him to miss the remainder of the year. Micah was also expected to miss the entire 2024-25 season and use the medical redshirt, but Micah decided against it.“I’m back, I’m coming back. I’m playing this year,” Handlogten told the media. 11 months later, he was back on the court against South Carolina.
In his first year with the title-contending and later winning team, he averaged 5.3 points and 6.9 rebounds per game in 32 starts. And in his second short stint, Micah Handgloten averaged 2.6 points, 1.1 assists 4.9 rebounds coming off the bench in his 16 games while winning the national championship. But these are early numbers, through troubling times. The 7′ 1″ tall player wants to undo the past with the help of his family as his NBA career nears!
