Xaivian Lee’s Contract

No doubt, NIL (Name, Image, and Likeness) has been a game-changer for college athletes, and Xaivian Lee is one of many reaping its benefits. He stands out. That’s because at just 21, he’s reportedly already making north of $6 million in his fourth college season.

That’s a massive sum! Had he decided to go pro and ended up signing a two-way deal with an NBA side, he’d have made around $636,435 for the current season. So yes, it appears to be a strategic choice, and a smart one.

Lee’s already one of the highest-paid college athletes with an estimated net worth of $6 million. He was the first NCAA athlete to sign a multi-year contract with the Asia-based sneaker startup, Serious Player Only. Although the exact details of that contract remain undisclosed, we do know that this agreement includes a future signature shoe for Lee. It’s also possible he has other endorsement partnerships, but nothing official has been confirmed yet.

But what’s certain is that Xaivian Lee deserves every penny. Just consider, by the time 2025 rolled around, Lee had his fingerprints all over Princeton basketball history. He had 1,154 points, 406 rebounds, and 302 assists in just 91 games. And not just that, he even became the first player in school history to notch a triple-double. Guess what? He didn’t stop at one; he did it again, that’s twice in the same season.

So, when the Florida Gators picked him up, it wasn’t much of a surprise. But with great rewards come even greater expectations. Lee now faces the challenge of helping the defending champions fill the void left by three guards who declared for the NBA Draft. Alongside Boogie Fland, he’s got the task of keeping Florida’s backcourt up there, among the best of the best.
