The LSU Tigers traveled to the Pride Roofing University Center to face their next challenge against Southeastern Louisiana University. The Lady Tigers were on a roll following their three victories on the trott. However, they took the court without the Most Outstanding Player of their previous campaign – Angel Reese.

The Bayou Barbie was missing from Kim Mulkey’s starting line-up. This was after she had to sit out the entire second half against Kent State.

Angel Reese sits out against the Lady Lions

It is no news that the head coach for the Lady Tigers made Angel sit out on the bench for the second half against Kent State. However, the talented forward’s fans were eager to see her return to her form against the Lady Lions. Unfortunately, there was no No. 10 in the lineup. Apparently, some sources suggest that The Final Four MVP may have been suspended. Meanwhile, Kim Mulkey refuses to discuss the matter in detail.

However, in an interview after LSU’s win against the Lady Lions on Friday, the press asked her about Bayou Barbie’s absence. Still, instead of replying to them, she simply shushed them. She responded with, “You want me to explain why? It was very obvious Angel was not in uniform. Angel is a part of this basketball team & we hope to see her sooner than later. I’m not going to answer anymore. That’s it. That’s all y’all need to know.”

Clearly, the reason behind Angel’s absence is not a big deal. And as Kim said, she will soon return to the court. However, it does raise a few questions about the LSU’s forward’s attitude.

Attitude adjustment for Angel Reese

There is no denying that our self-acclaimed Bayou Barbie can sometimes come out as a cold person. Previously, many basketball followers attacked her for doing the “You can’t see me gesture” towards Caitlin Clark. Hence, we have seen that she may have an attitude problem. Now, this may be one of the reasons why the No. 10 forward was asked to sit aside against the Lady Lions. Additionally, there are some rumors pointing to some internal drama that may be ongoing within the Lady Tigers.

Whether it is some disciplinary thing against Angel or she has some other issue, one thing we know for sure is that this baller is not stopping any time soon. Further, Mulkey’s comment that she is a part of this basketball team only relaxes us further.

Do you think Angel Reese will play against the Southern Tigers on Tuesday? Let us know in the comments below.
