Reese has been one of the biggest stars in the world of basketball this past year. From her beef with Caitlin Clark and then going on to win the NCAA championship, her story was a major selling point for months. However, all of this comes at a cost, and for Reese, it was her freedom to live life as a regular person, something she was accustomed to before the fame. She said, “Even to the grocery store, we had to have security. Even going to class and stuff, it’s been crazy.”

The restrictions don’t mean that she has anything against the people who support her. Despite not being able to move freely on the LSU campus, she said, “We love the fans and everybody that has embraced us and showed us love.” It is clear that Reese is getting accustomed to the newfound and well-deserved fame. More importantly, she is about to graduate from LSU and undoubtedly, the next big step in her basketball journey will be the WNBA.
