As if losing in Elite 8 was not enough, people on the internet started attacking her and labeling her a lot of nonsense. During the post-game conference, she said, “All this has happened since I won the National Championship and I haven’t been happy since then.”Despite the painful loss and comments, Angel Reese is ready for the next chapter in her life. The 21-year-old has finally decided that she will be appearing for the WNBA draft via Vogue.

While the decision might seem like a no-brainer, she said, “I want to start at the bottom again.” Explaining that she wants to start from scratch and wants to learn more. The pressures of WNBA are different than NCAA and she is ready for that experience. “I want to be a rookie again and build myself back up; I want to be knocked down and learn and grow at the next level.”

Ever since Caitlin Clark declared herself for the WNBA draft, all eyes were on Angel Reese to do the same. The duo are flamboyant and unapologetic behavior which drives them to success. Reese has already won the NCAA championship last season. Clark and the Hawkeyes will look to do the same and help her finish her story.

Angel Reese is ready for the next chapter

Angel Reese wanted to announce her decision in her own unique way. She decided not to do regular interviews with sports outlets or with a press conference. Her idea was inspired by Serena Williams and she decided to do a fashion shoot with Vogue. “I’ve done everything I wanted to in college,” Reese says: “I’ve won a national championship, I’ve gotten [Southeastern Conference] Player of the Year, I’ve been an All-American. My ultimate goal is to be a pro—and to be one of the greatest basketball players to play, ever. I feel like I’m ready.”

Whenever she played during her collegiate days she made headlines. Her last game for the LSU Tigers may have ended in defeat but she helped create a record. The Elite 8 match had a total of 12.3 million viewers, a number never seen before. There is no doubt in Angel Reese’s ability but now the only question that remains is where will she end up during the WNBA draft.
