Well, after just one season, the Raiders pulled the plug on Antonio Pierce, and honestly, it’s hard to blame them. With a rough 4-13 record, it’s clear the team took a massive step back after last year’s 8-9 finish. So, who do they turn to now? Someone who can flip a program around quickly, like Deion Sanders did for the Buffs. That’s the reason some are pushing for Coach Prime to take over in Vegas and also bringing Shedeur along to fill the quarterback spot. However, it looks like media personality Nick Wright isn’t sleeping on the idea as he’s got some serious doubts.
“But so the point is this: you gotta take huge swings. You’re like, So I don’t know that I believe Shedeur is a top-five pick. I’m not certain, certain. I think there are real pluses and minuses, and I don’t know it. What makes Deion so special as a college coach, working the way there is in college. He is not really recruiting in college the way it is, it’s more about just how much money you are paying me, which may be college to a degree is now too. But as a Chiefs’ fan, I wouldn’t love it.” It looks like it’s pretty hard for people to believe that Deion Sanders actually has the ability to turn things around.

Well, if Shedeur Sanders’ doesn’t hold the ability to be a top-five pick in the NFL draft, then God knows who’s going to end up here. See, it’s a straight fact that Shedeur is the one who took his team to the Bowl game. Yes, his performance wasn’t up to the mark against the Cougars, but let’s not forget this is the same guy who finished his season throwing for 4,134 yards with 37 touchdowns and an eye-popping completion rate of 74.2%. That holds some depth, at least.
Now coming to Deion Sanders and his recruiting style, it’s a well-known thing that Coach Prime doesn’t believe in going door-to-door to recruit talent. Plus, he thinks that it should not be a number game; rather, it should be based on excellence. Just look at Shedeur, Travis, or Jimmy Horn Jr. They are all great players. Moreover, it’s not like Coach Prime is doing nothing for his team’s roster. Till now, the Buffs have signed 14 players for next season. That means he is doing something, right? But the question is, does this notion really hold any depth?

Is Deion Sanders really leaving Boulder?
Well, the moment you take out Deion Sanders from the Buffs, the program will surely lose its spark. He is the person behind the Buffs’ turnaround to a Power Five-level team that was simply scraping the bottom of the barrel in college football. Just imagine not a single year the team recorded more than 9 wins since 2016 and who made it all happen? Coach Prime and his exceptional coaching theories. Now he has nothing left to prove except winning the Big 12 national title, and who knows, next year even that happens.
However, while all these are certainly aspirational goals, many fans and analysts have doubts about whether Deion Sanders will still be coaching the Buffs after Shedeur, Shilo, and Hunter’s move to the NFL. See, the moment these rumors started making buzz around the football world, Coach Prime patiently denied them all. Just think of it this way: why would somebody make so much effort bringing players like Julian Lewis and Kaidon Salter and starting early practice sessions for his team if ultimately he plans on leaving?

What’s your perspective on:
Is Deion Sanders' NFL dream worth risking the Buffs' newfound success and stability?
Have an interesting take?
Funny, right? Even Deion Sanders thinks the whole notion of him becoming a pro coach is useless for now, at least as he makes his stance clear on the Pacman Jones Show that he has no intention of leaving the Buffs right now, saying, “I love Boulder, Colorado i have every intention, every plan in the world to be coaching for the Colorado Buffs from here on i want to finish here i want to put the flag i want my name on the mountains out there i want to put my flag down in Colorado.” Well, at least for now, Deion Sanders has no plans for the NFL, so just look at the way he is planning his future journey with the Buffs. So, at least for now, it’s preposterous to think that he is leaving them.
