With UNC sitting at 2–4, the season hangs by a thread for Belichick. The Tar Heels must win four of their final six games to become bowl eligible. So, all hope isn’t lost. But the loss against Cal and his girlfriend’s insults seems like a massive sting for Belichick.

Though this isn’t the first time, most fans have labeled her a “gold digger,” a “distraction,” and accused her of controlling behavior. UNC even once banned her from program facilities. Still, regardless of the controversy, Belichick has never held back from defending her.

When hosts of The Sports Gossip Show recalled Hudson yelling over the phone about a contract with The Athletic, saying, “She got very hung up about that… she wants intense control without understanding you will never have it,” Belichick defended her.

He said, “The final eight-minute segment does not reflect the productive 35-minute conversation we had… It presents selectively edited clips to suggest a false narrative that Jordon was attempting to control the conversation, which is simply not true.”

With all that in the background, Belichick’s job security is even a hotter topic. With such incidents piling up, while Belichick and Hudson have become a source of laughter in the CFB world, Hudson tried to stay out of the spotlight during the UNC vs. Cal game.

While Hudson has usually flaunted her gameday outfits, think the “Blind For Love” sweatshirt, then blue snake-print skirt, and white top, she kept it low-key this time.

With all the drama surrounding the couple, it’s not easy for fans to see their favorite football team wilt on the sidelines. The couple met in February 2021, and since then, they have faced the wrath of the entire college football fraternity. According to The Athletic, Hudson played an instrumental role in stopping the production of “Hard Knocks,” which irked many fans.
