Bill Belichick isn’t exactly the kind of person you’d picture sitting front row at a beauty pageant, but then again, Jordon Hudson isn’t just any contestant. She’s his girlfriend, and on Saturday, she took center stage at the Miss Maine USA pageant, with the legendary coach making a rare public appearance to support her. This unlikely pairing has turned heads since they met on a flight to Florida, and ever since, Hudson has become a fixture in Belichick’s world. But on this night, the spotlight was all hers.

Belichick, known for his icy press conferences and deadpan sideline stares, was spotted looking sharp in a suit and tie, sitting quietly to the right of the stage at the Holiday Inn by the Bay in Portland. It was a rare sight—Belichick away from the grind of football, invested in a different kind of contest.

He watched as Hudson, representing her hometown of Hancock, took the stage with confidence and grace. She kicked off the day in a dark-and-light green pants set for the morning rehearsals, then later rocked a Carolina blue wrap minidress for the evening segment, both looks paired with her signature “Hancock” sash. And if her runway strut with a $3,500 Dior bag slung over her shoulder was any indication, Hudson’s not just here to compete—she’s here to make a statement.

Jordon Hudson, a 24-year-old former college cheerleader, is no stranger to the spotlight. She finished as the first runner-up in last year’s Miss Maine USA competition and previously placed third runner-up at Miss Massachusetts Teen USA in 2020. She made her big announcement on Instagram with perfect timing. “Happy International Pageant Day👑✨,” she posted on April 10. “Couldn’t think of a better day to let the world know—I’m competing for Miss Maine USA 2025!” This year, she’s gunning for the crown, pushing through each phase of the competition with poise. And if the man known for six Super Bowl rings is sitting in your corner, it’s clear you’ve got some serious backing.

Belichick’s quiet support during the event was a reminder that Hudson’s journey isn’t just about glitzy gowns and sparkling crowns. It’s about stepping up and defying expectations. Hudson’s own hustle, from building an $8 million real estate portfolio in New England to founding Trouble Club Enterprises, shows she’s been making eye-grabbing moves off the stage as well. But Hudson’s path to the crown isn’t without its hurdles.

Jordon Hudson’s biggest challenge!

Despite her experience, Jordon Hudson is currently sitting in seventh place in the crucial online voting segment, with just 146 votes. Meanwhile, her top rival, Isabelle St. Cyr, has emerged as a formidable contender. St. Cyr, who hails from Monson, Maine, and is the first transgender contestant in Miss Maine USA history, has quickly become a fan favorite, currently holding the second spot with 447 votes.

St. Cyr’s journey to the pageant stage has been nothing short of inspiring. She transitioned in her early 20s and now runs a farm in Monson, breaking barriers in the pageant world. As Joe Kinsey of OutKick put it, “That’s Isabelle St. Cyr aiming to dethrone Bill Belichick’s girlfriend for a shot at Miss USA.”

For now, Hudson, St. Cyr, and 15 other contestants will be judged in three distinct categories: an interview, swimsuit, and evening gown. Those with the highest scores will move on as semifinalists. It’s a compelling narrative—two women from Maine, each defying expectations in their own way, competing for the same crown.

With Belichick quietly cheering her on from the sidelines, Hudson faces one of the toughest competitions of her life. But if there’s one thing Belichick knows, it’s how to prepare for a showdown. Whether Hudson can pull off the ultimate upset and claim the crown remains to be seen, but one thing is clear—she’s got a championship-caliber coach in her corner. The pageant kicked off Saturday at 7 p.m. at the Holiday Inn by the Bay and wraps up tomorrow—and all eyes are definitely on Hudson and St. Cyr.
