In an emotional post on X, Breiden Fehoko announced that he has chosen to retire from the sport at the age of 29. He likely made this decision due to a lingering shoulder injury he sustained during training with the Pittsburgh Steelers. He signed a one-year deal with the Steelers in April 2023, but the team released him with an injury settlement in August after he got hurt. Following a full year as a free agent since August 2024, Fehoko made the decision to end his career.
“To my family, you guys never let me quit, and more importantly, never let me stop believing in myself. I’m thankful for every coach, teammate, trainer, opponent, agent, etc. Because you guys made me a better version of myself every time I stepped on that football field.” Fehoko stated, sharing his emotions and journey in life and college football.
