Is Deion Sanders really leaving for the NFL? Rumors grow each day, with the Dallas Cowboys coming into the picture. But again, the second-year Colorado HC has voiced his interest in staying in Boulder several times before. Still, a potential roadblock could harm the Buffs’ chances of retaining their HC. Another intriguing development is surfacing following Shedeur Sanders’ thoughts and recent changes in Las Vegas.

Bruce Feldman appeared in the latest episode on The Rich Eisen Show on January 23 to discuss Deion Sanders’ situation. Pouring his concerns over Colorado’s financial ability to retain their HC, he said, “I don’t know how much Colorado can compete with the NFL if the NFL comes for him.” Still, many people believe that the 57-year-old has a better chance with the pro league including Rich Eisen.

He said, “The Raiders just hired a general manager from the Buccaneers’ John Spytek Brady knows for forever in a day. They do have a head coaching position open. They could potentially draft his son, I don’t know if that’s what they’re thinking… So I don’t know if this is going to be something that pops over the next few days for Prime.”

The Cowboys stirred the nation with the Deion Sanders’ rumors when he and Jerry Jones got in contact after the dismissal of Mike McCarthy. Even former Alabama legend Nick Saban and former NFL HC Steve Mariucci endorsed this possible situation. After all, there’s a deep connection in Dallas where he played for five seasons that culminated in a Super Bowl win. But the Cowboys holding the 12th pick in the 2025 NFL Draft could be a hurdle.

This comes in line with Deion Sanders’ previous revelation on his potential NFL career. He mentioned he might move on to next level if he gets to coach both his sons in the NFL. But then, his statement on the Million Dollaz Worth of Game podcast hints that the Cowboys might not be it! He said of his son, “He has this quiet competition going on. His goal was to be drafted higher than me, and he’s going to eclipse that. I was the fifth pick. Yeah, he’s going before five.” Shedeur Sanders is the projected top-3 pick in the April draft. And Tom Brady’s Raiders, who hold the No. 6 pick, has a better chance than the Cowboys to acquire both father and son.

Deion Sanders and Shedeur Sanders in Las Vegas?

Connections everywhere. Tom Brady, as the new minority owner of Las Vegas, raises the scope for Shedeur Sanders. Besides, their new GM, John Spytek, who served as the New York Giants assistant GM for the last nine years, has a close connection with Brady. The pair played together both in Michigan and Tampa Bay where they won a Super Bowl together. And with the Buffs QB’s relationship with the NFL GOAT, there could be mutual interest.

According to CBS Sports mock draft, the Raiders trade up to draft the 22-year-old QB as the No. 1 overall pick. If Shedeur Sanders goes to the Raiders, it’ll open the interest of Deion Sanders. They fired their HC Antonio Pierce after an underwhelming 4-13 season. As a source said of the Buffs HC back on January 11, “He has a very strong interest in the job.” But nothing is set in stone yet.

The Cowboys or the Raiders? But for all we know, Deion Sanders could shut down all these NFL rumors and remain in Boulder.
