Texas Longhorns upsetting performance against the Bulldogs
The Texas Longhorns’ loss against the Bulldogs ended their run of six consecutive wins in the current season. Their struggling offense was quite visible throughout the game. As Longhorns star quarterback Quin Ewers completed 25 out of 43 pass attempts, running for 211 yards with an interception and two fumbles, Ewers was sacked multiple times, which coasted a big one for the team. Even the special teams of the Longhorns also require improvement. As their punter, Ian Ratliff had a total of five punts with an average distance of 43.8 yards. In comparison, the Bulldogs’ punter, Brett Thorson, managed four punts with an average of 54 yards.
Even head coach Steve Sarkisian was disappointed with Texas’s gameplay and execution against the Bulldogs. After the game, Sarkisian addressed his emotions regarding their loss, saying, “Unfortunately, we didn’t play our best football tonight.” However, Steve expressed his desire to once again go head-to-head against the Bulldogs and defeat them, saying, “But we were still competitive. Hopefully, we get another crack at (Georgia).” Well, let’s see if Texas can make a remarkable comeback from their loss and regain their winning streak in the ongoing season.
