ESPN, ABC, and other Disney channels are back for the platform’s 10 million subscribers after nearly two weeks off the air, as YouTube TV and Disney have buried the hatchet. Interestingly, the new deal adds ESPN’s direct-to-consumer app straight into YouTube TV. It’s a big win for WWE fans, but with the service already costing over $80 a month, the move has sparked fresh concern among subscribers, wondering what Google’s next step might be.

While all of Disney’s channels, led by ABC, are back where they belong, YouTube TV didn’t hold back to show its gratitude towards subscribers. “We’re happy to share that we’ve reached a deal with Disney to bring their content back to YouTube TV,” wrote YouTube TV on its official site. “Subscribers should see channels including ABC, ESPN, and FX returning to their service over the course of the day. Thanks for your patience and for being a valued member.”
YouTube TV launched in 2018 at $35 per month and has steadily built its subscriber base. Compared to that, the recent deal feels like a major jump. In the days since, fans have worried: could the price climb even higher?
