Three weeks ago, Colorado unveiled a bold plan to elevate game days at Folsom Field. AD Rick George promised more than just football. There will be drone shows, flyovers, and upgraded concessions. The centerpiece was a stripe-out, transforming the stadium into a black-and-white wall of energy as nearly 50,000 fans roared into the Buffs’ Big 12 era under Coach Prime. Now, with Colorado set to host the Wyoming Cowboys this Saturday, September 20, the question shifts: What color will fans be asked to wear next?

The gates for the Wyoming game open at 6 p.m., so make sure to get there early to skip the lines! Just a heads-up, Folsom Field has a no re-entry rule, so once you’re in, there’s no going back out. Plus, it’s Family Weekend at CU Boulder! Families need to sit in their assigned seats, while students will be hanging out in the student section. And Colorado Football has a simple two-word message for the 50,000 fans who will be packing into Folsom Field!
This week, the Buffs are telling fans to WEAR WHITE! Colorado Football’s 17th tweet even encouraged a coordinated look with the caption, “Avalanche in the stands 🥶.” So, fans are ready to turn Folsom Field into a sea of white, creating an icy wave of energy to welcome the Buffaloes this Saturday. But white isn’t the only color in play this season. Colorado fans have two more theme games to show their school spirit: Sept. 27 vs. BYU: Gold Rush, and Oct. 11 vs. Iowa State: Buffs Wear Black. When the Buffs hit the field against Georgia Tech on August 29, Folsom Field transformed into a sea of black and white. Fans followed a color-coded map, turning the stadium into a living stripe-out. Interestingly, the visual was electric: school spirit on full display and a jaw-dropping sight for opponents. And for HC Deion Sanders, it wasn’t just about looks. It was about energy, atmosphere, and making the fans feel like part of the game itself. But all eyes were on The Charge, Colorado’s student section formerly known as the C-Unit.

Colorado’s QB1 in Week 4
Colorado is set to reinstate Kaidon Salter as their starting QB for this week’s clash with Wyoming, ESPN sources confirmed. Salter, who opened the season as the starter, was replaced by Ryan Staub during Friday’s 36-20 defeat to Houston. Although Staub finished 19-of-35 for 204 yards with a TD, the Buffs struggled offensively after halftime, scoring only six points. But what about Salter?

Look, Salter isn’t new to high-pressure situations. Entering the season with a 23-6 record as a starter, he’s proven his ability to lead. On top of that, freshman Julian Lewis, ranked No. 12 in the class of 2025, also remains in the mix, giving Colorado a potent QB room alongside the veteran Salter. But is Salter ready to lead the offense?
Well, through two games, Salter has completed 68.2% of his passes. On top of that, he has thrown one touchdown and added two more on the ground. Following that, CBS first reported that he’s expected to start this week, giving the Buffs a chance to regain momentum and stabilize their offense against the Cowboys.
