One of LaJohntay Wester‘s best decisions was to move to Colorado. After 4 seasons at Florida Atlantic, the senior wide receiver already had a sizable fan base. Prior to moving to Boulder with his younger brother Jaylen Wester, he had an outstanding season with 108 catches for 1,168 yards. Now, as the end of this thrilling regular season draws close, this elite athlete bursts through emotions and pays a touching homage to playing with his brother.

LaJohntay posted a thank-you Instagram story on December 2 that read, “Blessed beyond measures.” It also included the line, “Can’t tell me that what God can’t do #OverlyBlessed.” It’s amazing that these brothers got to play together. It just goes to show that sometimes, God gives us special opportunities that we couldn’t have planned ourselves. It’s a special experience to play the same sport as a family member on the same team and LaJohntay’s feelings about it are completely understandable.

Furthermore, the post’s background music reveals more about LaJohntay’s belief in God, as he added a line from Hunxho’s song “Thank God.” “Thank God for the help, thank God He was there/Thank God for my life, remember times when I ain’t care/Thank God I got right.” In addition to gratitude, the Instagram story also showed the big brother’s love. LaJohntay Wester, the reliable big brother who’s always inspiring others, shares a special bond with his younger sibling, Jaylen. At 22, LaJohntay’s been a rock for Jaylen, and seeing the two on the field together has been nothing short of heartwarming. For LaJohntay, having his brother by his side has been a joyful and unforgettable experience, making the end of this chapter even more emotional.

In case you missed it, Deion Sanders Jr. shared a cute video of the Wester brothers praying on the field prior to the Arizona game a few days ago. “Take advantage of the opportunity. Have fun. I love you,” LaJohntay Wester said to his brother as they concluded their prayers. These brothers seem to have a really close and sincere relationship both off and on the field.

The skill of this Colorado great (LaJohntay) is still up for debate, though. Does his performance qualify him for the NFL draft in 2025?

LaJohntay Wester’s NFL Draft fit

As the weeks have progressed, the Colorado Buffs have come under more scrutiny. LaJohntay Wester, the terrific Buffs wideout has attracted his own flicker of light in recent weeks, a searing brightness that has shone brightest on the Buffs’ top talents. Wester has seen his skill set change and his NFL draft stock increase while joining the Big 12. Although Wester’s bulk and contested-catch skills don’t scream “wow,” his spontaneity, explosiveness, and adaptability have made him one of the nation’s most underappreciated playmakers. Wester’s skills, combined with his team’s reputation, make him a valuable asset for any team looking for a versatile offensive player.

According to a consensus rating, Wester is presently placed 405th overall, about 245th. This means he’s likely to go undrafted, rather than being picked in the earlier rounds as many expected. Even if he’s drafted, it’s probably going to be in the seventh round, which is significantly lower than his initial projections. Let’s see what happened at the end.
