Colorado Buffs are falling back into place after a temporary setback. After eating out some tough losses on the path, Coach Prime and his boys posted a 34-7 banger against the Arizona Wildcats last week. To prove it was not a fluke, the Buffs kept their winning streak intact against Cincinnati. After an injured Travis Hunter failed to bring out his best against the Wildcats, we should believe coach Prime when he said he would have better productivity against Cincinnati.

The cherry on the top? Shedeur Sanders’ timely touchdown passes to Hunter brought pure magic to the field. The growth of the Buffs looks tempting, but with this, an inter-team rivalry is setting up between two best buddies, Shedeur Sanders, and Travis Hunter, as the Heisman trophy seems to be under reach.

Travis Hunter has always been unparalleled in Heisman’s trophy candidacy. In between, he has to put his persistence to some hard test as a week of injury absence and a bye week slowed down the momentum of the coveted race and left space for Boise State’s Ashton Jeanty to be the first projected to take the prize.

But with a breakout performance against Cincinnati, the gaps are getting fixed. Even before the banger game took place, ESPN’s voting site showcased the highest votes cast (37 per cent) in favor of the two-way star. But at the same time, another Colorado gem, Shedeur Sanders, is also eyeing the same prize with a +5000 odd. Bringing that less-spoken, passive rivalry to the surface, ON3’s J.D. Pickell noted, ‘If a Colorado keeps winning, Travis probably should win the Heisman. What he is doing is ridiculous. Make sure you enjoy it. You can make the case for Shedeur being in that conversation as well”

If the team continues to deliver with Travis Hunters in the driving seat, Ashton Jeanty might be left behind despite a meteoric rise. While it was only a far-fetched theory, as there are a lot of seasons left to be played, hoping can never be a crime. Coming to the intriguing best friends’ strife over the Heisman narrative, it seems to be just on paper and not in reality.

Shedeur Sanders backs up Travis Hunter in the debatable Heisman race

If you’re a college football fan, no way you could miss out on the spicy, adorable banter between Shedeur Sanders and Travis Hunter. The duo never failed to keep the fans hooked on their electrifying chemistry over the social media walls. You will know it was never a show-off when the bond beyond professional was reflected in their trademark performances in the last game. The accurate timing, the harmony, the connection, and the communication, everything spoke loud of how they gel with each other like anything. But it becomes even more evident from what Shedeur noted when asked about his Heisman take.

Coming fresh off from a shout-out victory, Coach Prime’s son seemed pretty cool and relaxed during the media call. When the Heisman conversation, quite predictably, started to take up, the young prodigy didn’t even take a second to say, ”I just want Travis to win, it is what it is. He is the best player in college football.”
