Following Pilar’s proud mom moment, she wrote, “My gorgeous #22 yes ma’am @shelomisanders – @shilosanders and @shedeursanders babysis so u already know …. It’s time! FYI they’ve always come prepared,” Deion felt it was time to hype up his young girl. Well, he certainly did so in pure Coach Prime style. Like the world’s happiest father, he showered Shelomi with love and support on IG by sharing her photoshoot pic.

Along with transfers, she’s also been managing type-1 diabetes, which quietly tests her discipline and strength every single day. After her transfer from Colorado, where she hardly played on the court, Shelomi adjusted her routine and settled under Dawn Thornton, the new head coach at Alabama A&M.

Her stats might not jump off the page, but the energy she brings to the team is contagious. Her time at Colorado wasn’t easy, as she admitted: “It just wasn’t good energy. It wasn’t good vibes. There wasn’t enough being poured into me as a player and young lady. If I didn’t leave when I did, I promise you I would’ve quit.”

Deion was not quite content and called the decision to hit the portal “stupid.” In between all the highs and lows, her parents supported her in their own unique ways. Pilar’s heartwarming message, Deion’s cheerful shout, and all the other messages show that this family may not always move in sync, but the love is strong.
