Well, we found that his daughter chose an NFL Sunday instead of a CFB Saturday to get hitched to her partner, Nate Palter. The wedding took place on September 28. On October 1, we got a glimpse of what all happened on Davis’ daughter’s special day on his Instagram. The veteran College GameDay host posted adorable glimpses of the wedding to social media, and fans and colleagues showered their love for the heartfelt family celebration.
In a recent IG post, Davis shared pictures of himself and his daughter, Elizabeth, dancing at her wedding. He wrote, “A beautiful emotional weekend with @lizatiza wedding. I try to keep personal sharing to a minimum. But the Lord blessed@l.davis2 and me with a wonderful gorgeous daughter on the outside and in spirit, blessed @cd8hits with a loyal, loving sister. And what a speech he delivered! Thought I’d share a few photos that I’ve been sent. And we welcome Nate to our family! What a day! Excited to see what we can all build together to honor the Lord! Proverbs 18:22. By the way, the whole day made me want to marry @l.davis2 all over again❤️”

Elizabeth was engaged to Nate on December 15, 2024, after he proposed to her in New York City. She was so happy that she called her father right away to tell him. Rece ditched the roaring noise of stadiums for the sake of the gentle glow of candlelight. The essence of it was simple but unforgettable: a father and his beloved daughter dancing together, her hand in his, their smiles speaking louder than words could. “Fall weddings are the best—if you’re celebrating the best and most wonderful bride,” Rece wrote in a note to his daughter on IG.
The tiny, cute moments were what really stood out in the day’s lovely chaos. Everything seemed so real and joyful when Elizabeth and her husband, Nate, walked hand in hand down the aisle with friends and family cheering them. It looked like a scene straight out of a dream, with the soft blue bridesmaids, the rich floral arrangements, and the warm sunlight shining on Elizabeth’s dress. Rece couldn’t resist sharing these memories, from the heartwarming speech that made people laugh and cry to the cozy times when loved ones came together to simply soak in the joy.
