Lane Kiffin is having a good season. One of the few head coaches to not be in the hot seat, if not already fired. Ole Miss is 8-1 and is expected to make the playoffs. His daughter, Landry Kiffin, is also making her father proud as a student. The oldest of the Lanes’ children is enrolled at Ole Miss and posts her life updates regularly on social media. But this time, her father was the one who shared a proud accomplishment about Landry.

Kiffin, known for his outspoken nature on X (formerly Twitter), shared a picture of Landry’s nomination to The National Society of Leadership and Success. “The University of Mississippi cordially announces the nomination of Landry Kiffin to the National Society of Leadership and Success….Fall Semester, 2025,” read a certificate that the Ole Miss HC shared. It’s, of course, a feat to be celebrated.
NSLS is an accredited leadership honor society with more than 800 chapters and more than 1.5 million student members. Its members get access to scholarships and awards apart from getting leadership training. Not just that, it also comes with an immense networking opportunity at many schools, along with leader-speaker broadcasts. But getting into NSLS isn’t easy.

For starters, one can only get nominated upon invitation. To do that, a student must maintain a GPA of 3.2 or higher in the previous semester and display leadership potential. Even then, it won’t be a guarantee as it involves a rigorous selection process. It’s quite commendable for Landry, who has shown leadership potential just like her dad.

Congratulations pour in for Lane Kiffin and his daughter, Landry
Lane Kiffin is set to face The Citadel on 8th November at home and is busy preparing for it. But when the Ole Miss HC shared Landry’s accomplishments, her membership certificate was placed over Citadel’s 2025 defensive call sheet. At that moment, the priority was, of course, his daughter.
“More important than any defensive call sheet. Congrats, Coach,” wrote one user. While another user described how big an accomplishment being in the Society was. “CONGRATS! Great accomplishment for her and a proud Rebel Dad. Knox will have one of those too in a few years!!” wrote a user. Landry and her dad, Lane, surely have countless moments showcasing their bond.

For one, Landry was the one who made her dad stay at Ole Miss. She and her friends created a heartfelt slideshow with music when Lane was considering leaving for another job in 2022. The result? It made the coach quite emotional, so much so that he “was crying.” Even Lane Kiffin described it to be the ultimate difference maker in his decision to stay. “When Landry asked me to stay at Ole Miss for her, I did.”
One user in the same vein misread Landry’s certificate and thought it was a contract extension for the 6th year HC. “This scared me, @Lane_Kiffin, I thought that was a contract extension for a minute!” wrote the user. Other comments on Kiffin’s post were more cheerful, congratulating Landry’s upbringing. “I know you’re so proud, coach! Successful, well-rounded kids!” wrote the user.
Lane and his ex-wife, Layla, have three children. Two daughters, Landry and Presley, born in 2004 and 2006, and a son, Monte Knox, born in 2009. Landry, after graduating from Oxford, Miss, enrolled in Ole Miss. At Ole Miss, the 20-year-old is pursuing a degree in business administration and is also a member of the Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority.

All things considered, Landry surely looks to be on a successful trajectory like her father, and enrolling in NSLS was just a start. Seeing all of this, one Alabama fan couldn’t help but declare Lane a perfect candidate for governor. “They’ll make this guy governor one day, and it will be a good thing,” wrote the user. For now, though, the head coach seems happy both on the field and on the personal front, too. That’s surely a recipe for success indeed.
