In an interview with Romi Bean on 27th August, Charles Johnson sat down to talk about all things related to his alma mater, the Colorado Buffaloes, and had two prospects in mind for the Heisman Trophy. Shedeur Sanders and Travis Hunter, both star players for Colorado, are one of the leading contenders for the trophy this year but as per Johnson, the quarterback is the clear-cut winner.

While highlighting the impact of Shedeur as a QB, Johnson said, “He’s amazing. I expect him to be one of the Heisman finalists. I watch how he talks about his players publicly. I watch how he engages his players in the locker room privately. He’s exactly what you want in a quarterback.” Thus, the entirety of the college football community has Shedeur in their sights to be a Heisman Trophy winner if he’s able to live up to the expectations this season.
