The Oregon Ducks continue to dominate this season. They secured their seventh win this past weekend against the Wisconsin Badgers. But the victory came at a price. Their QB, Dante Moore, got hit hard and suffered an injury. With less than two weeks left before their next game, head coach Dan Lanning provides a major update on his star pupil.

Throughout this season, Dante Moore has been one of the star players for the Ducks. But this past Saturday, after spending minimal time on the field, the QB had to sit out. Moore only got 86 passing yards and also allowed a handful of sacks. As a result, he got injured and had to sit out the rest of the game. With him returning to practice, Oregon fans could expect him to return to play next week, where he could add more to his already 1,772 yards and 19 touchdowns.
With their star QB’s injury aside, the team put up a strong showing. While the first quarter ended with neither team scoring, the Ducks scored a TD in every other quarter. The final score was 21-7 in favor of the Ducks, continuing their strong performance this season. With suffering only one loss this season, the Oregon Ducks are currently in third place, just below the Ohio State Buckeyes (second place) and the Indiana Hoosiers (first place).
In Week 11, the Oregon Ducks will be flying to Iowa City to take on the Iowa Hawkeyes, who are currently in fourth place.

Dan Lanning on the potential return of Evan Stewart
While there is a high possibility that Moore will be making his return next game, the same cannot be said for Evan Stewart. The wide receiver has missed the entire season due to a torn patellar tendon. When asked about his potential return to the squad, the HC Lanning said that they are still evaluating his performance.

“We’ll keep evaluating it. When he’s ready, we’d love to have him out there. But there’s still some progress that has to happen there.”
Stewart was part of the 2024 Oregon Ducks squad. The WR had five touchdowns and also 613 total yards.
Adding to the update on Stewart, Lanning also shared that the practice sessions are going well. Before heading to Iowa, they will review some tapes of top colleges performing.

“We take a glance, and then try to reset before we work into Iowa,” Dan Lanning said.
