Well, while Dan Lanning and his squad were on break, a lot happened in the world of college football. Week 13 was full of surprises. Do you know a total of seven top-25 teams suffered losses? Four out of them lost to unranked opponents, which came as a shocker for fans. Now, this has completely reshaped the college football playoff projections. But has it affected the No. 1 Oregon Ducks?

Although a lot has happened this week, the Ducks still stand at their No. 1 position. Dan Lanning must be so proud of his team, as they remain the only undefeated team after the Indiana Hoosiers lost to Ohio State this Saturday. However, Georgia is causing a problem for them. While some ranked teams failed to maintain their winning streak, the Bulldogs made sure to secure a crucial victory over Massachusetts 59-21. Now, the improved 9-2 has put the Ducks in trouble.

On November 25, insider Brett McMurphy shared a tweet that said, “@CircaSports national title odds”, and UGA was placed at rank 2 with +375 odds and Ducks were placed below them at rank 3 with +450 odds. Though the odds will undeniably change next week, this week, the Bulldogs took over and dominated their opponent, which put them in a better spot. In essence, the Ducks’ chances of winning the Natty decreased before they were resting after playing eight conference games in eight weeks. Well, that doesn’t seem fair, does it?

The Bulldogs have secured a spot in the SEC Championship Game. This season, they suffered two losses. The first was against one of the biggest competitions, the Alabama Crimson Tide and the second came against Ole Miss on November 9. However, this week, Alabama’s loss favoured them and helped them to clinch their place in the championship matchup scheduled for December 7 at Mercedes-Benz Stadium.

Moving forward, the Bulldogs will face either Texas or Texas A&M, who are set to compete this Saturday in their Week 14 rivalry game. Coming back to the Ducks, let’s discuss how Dan Lanning and his squad look to continue their winning streak

Will Dan Lanning secure his first victory against the Huskies?

Ducks will enter week 14 with an 11-0 record; on the other hand, the Huskies will enter with a dominating victory against UCLA 31-19. Both football programs are part of the Big Ten, and the Huskies have struggled this season. But do you believe that rivalry games often bring out the best in players?

The matchup is going to be interesting because of their past rivalry, and Dan Lanning will look up to his first victory against Washington. Although the Ducks are undefeated this season and are standing at the No. 1 position, they still need to worry because the Huskies have defeated Oregon three times since Lanning took over the head coach position.

But we cannot ignore that the Ducks have outperformed all their opponents so far. Now the big question is, will the Huskies put a full stop to the Ducks’ winning streak? A first loss could really derail Oregon as there are mulamtiple one-loss teams that can stake a claim on the 1st position of the Top-12 rankings.
