Oregon’s thrilling win against Iowa on a soggy Saturday night was one of the best comeback wins of Week 11. It was the QB who directed the whole play and nailed the scene to perfection in the last two minutes for the win. While most wondered how he executed the offense, Dante Moore revealed that a specific Chiefs player prompted him to go big. Go figure.

Gleefully, Moore said, “I kind of was thinking about Patrick Mahomes,” Dante Moore said. “I was kind of thinking about him during the two-minute drive. I was like, he’s one of the greatest ever to do it, and he’s always finding a way to win the game. So, I was thinking about him.”

While this was being said, Patrick Mahomes named Dante Moore as his favorite college football quarterback ahead of the game, on air, on national television. Before the Oregon vs Iowa game, the man who inspired Moore appeared on ESPN’s College GameDay and said, “Dante Moore might be my favorite quarterback to watch in college. So I’m going to take the Ducks and go in there and win an ugly one.”
Well, Dante Moore backing up his idol’s words could be the best gesture to Patrick Mahomes, and he could be so proud of him. Notably, Moore completed 70.5 percent of his passes for 1,884 yards to go with 19 touchdowns and five interceptions. Moore currently ranks fifth in the Big Ten in completion percentage and seventh in QBR rating. However, he suffered an injury, which undoubtedly caused some anxiety among the fans.

Dante Moore clears the air about his nose injury
Dante Moore, although he secured a win against Iowa, is still feeling the aftermath of his nose injury against Wisconsin. Moore took a bump and missed the entire second half, as he was dripping blood from his nose while walking to the sideline. Notably, Moore provided an update on his broken nose to the media. “I went to the doctor and talked about everything, but no surgery, nothing is needed. I talked to Kenny.” Moore said.

He was advised to use face masks and visors. “I’ve been wearing a visor, but it was raining in Iowa, so that’s what came to the two bars on the top. But it hasn’t been really much of a distraction or anything. So I can breathe normally. I can tell you, it feels pretty good. Just a little sore still. But I’m going to pray. I can breathe normally. It feels pretty good. Just a little sore still.”
It’s great to hear a positive update from the QB, as his health is crucial for Oregon’s rest of the season and the CFB playoffs. In the highly competitive playoff race, Oregon will face Minnesota this weekend, followed by USC and Washington, in an effort to secure a spot in the College Football Playoff.
