For those who have been following the rumors about college football and basketball, this should not be shocking. The stories that Shelomi and Myles are related have been circulating for quite sometime because fans had already noticed their interactions as sharing comment on IG and TikTok. Their paths crossed in Colorado. The game was paused due to a lightning delay with 1:31 remaining in the first half. Following a strip-sack by Slusher, Purdue had just regained possession, falling behind 28–13. The team had to wait until NBC declared that the field would reopen at 6:50 p.m. with a 10-minute warm-up. Marcus Freeman, the coach of Notre Dame, said “My suggestion, let’s treat this as a halftime and treat halftime like the end of the quarter. Change of possession and let’s go.”

Purdue’s offense, meanwhile, was switching up the wide receiver and backfield positions. Having played well early in the season, Arhmad Branch saw little action following an eye poke against USC, so EJ Horton Jr. was selected to start. Josh Henson, the offensive coordinator for the Boilermakers, clarified that Purdue now switches up roles instead of relying solely on weekly starters because both deep-threat receivers are gifted and need to establish consistency. Ultimately it was not enough as the Fighting Irish successfully beat the Boilermakers 56-30. Notre Dame scored 21 points in the third quarter and their defense only allowed one touchdown in the entire second half. With all of the on-field chaos, Shelomi’s story featuring Slusher only added more to the drama.
