Deion Sanders’ week wasn’t just about Colorado’s win in Delaware. His personal life got its own scoreboard update. While the Buffs prep for a bruising Week 3, his girlfriend, actress and entrepreneur Karrueche Tran, stole the headlines in a dazzling red dress and a trophy in hand. And if you thought this was just another celebrity cameo in the college football orbit, think again. This lady is rewriting her own playbook.

On her Instagram story on September 12, Karrueche Tran posted a photo of her in front of a BBR (Black Beauty Roster) background with an acknowledgement message to her 14 million followers. “Thank you @blackbeautyroster for highlighting and supporting @reuchibeauty!! To think it’s only been less than a year and the brand has gone so much further than I imagined.. I am beyond filled with gratitude and love!! Thank you to my reuchi team for working so hard. Couldn’t have done any of this without yall!!” And here’s where it gets bigger.

At 37, Karrueche Tran already bagged an Emmy becoming the first Asian Pacific American woman to win a Lead Actress Emmy for her role in The Bay. Add to that her TNT Claws run, her stints hosting BET shows, and appearances on the Met Gala carpet, and you’re looking at a star who doesn’t just orbit Coach Prime’s spotlight, she builds her own. Between The Bay, Reuchi Beauty’s rapid rise, and now the BBR spotlight, she’s stacking trophies like the Buffs want to stack wins. And interestingly, there’s some history between Prime and Tran too.

Sports Illustrated once revealed that Karruecche Tran’s career overlapped with Tracey Edmonds, Deion Sanders’ ex-fiancée, on the show Games People Play. Whether fate or a production meeting sparked it, their connection has clearly stretched far beyond L.A. dinners. And now, they’re both winning in different arenas. Which makes for a perfect segue because the Buffs HC has his own trophies to chase this weekend.

Deion Sanders meets Big 12 time

Big 12 Conference play has arrived for Colorado. The Buffs kick off at 5:30 p.m. MT on Friday against a Houston Cougars team that hasn’t surrendered more than nine points this season. Behind QB Conner Weigman, Willie Fritz’s squad looks sharp, but Deion Sanders’ crew enters with momentum after dusting off Delaware in Week 2. But the real heat is Colorado’s quarterback carousel.

Kaidon Salter opened the season, but Ryan Staub’s Delaware showcase of 157 yards and two touchdowns earned him the QB1 nod this week. Yet against Houston’s stingy defense, he sputtered early with four straight punts, just 51 passing yards midway through the second quarter. Fans were restless, and social media lit up with calls for Salter’s return. But the thing is, Deion Sanders doesn’t play by consensus. Asked about needing a “solidified quarterback,” he shrugged off the notion saying, “Who has one of those? What does that look like? What is a solidified quarterback look like? … I want to know.”

To Deion Sanders, it’s not about stability, it’s about the right spark at the right time. If you thought the QB saga was ending this week, you haven’t been paying attention. Because at Colorado, just like in Prime’s personal life, the storylines are as bold as the man himself.
