The Sanders clan is synonymous with polarizing. But rather than trying to please their cynics, each member feeds into the divisiveness. Love them or loathe them, you’ve got to admit one thing: Deion Sanders is a model father. Conceded, he isn’t flawless. But the way he has cultivated the relationship dynamics both with and among his children is commendable. It’s rare for a group of successful people to coexist without any friction whatsoever. Which segues into one other facet of his parenthood that deserves credit. A facet that’s playing out and combining at the absolute top echelon of all his sons’ professional verticals. Football—for Shilo and Shedeur Sanders—and the media—for Deion Sanders Jr.

Deion Sanders managed to provide and then uphold a foundational platform, a launching pad, for his children. You can throw partisan and prejudicial allegations of nepotism towards him. But not every successful father manages to permeate that success over to their kin. You can lead a horse to water, but you can’t make him drink. Deion led his sons to the water alright. He had the means to. However, how often do you see children who come from fame and generational wealth rest on their laurels? Not “drink” the proverbial water they got ahead in line for. Deion Sanders has managed to instill a hustler, hard-working mentality among Shilo, Shedeur, and Deion Jr., Which is indeed the facet of his parenthood that deserves the most credit. An example of this is playing out with Deion Sanders Jr., aka Bucky, in real-time.

Bucky Sanders has sown his seeds over time and is now preparing to reap his rewards. He started his “Well Off Media” platform and began covering his brothers and dad during their escapades at Jackson State and then Colorado. Bucky has put out some great content over that time. Giving audiences unparalleled inside access into what’s going down behind the scenes. At either program, as well as with his family. This content and dedication to it have managed to impress the NFL and, particularly, Commissioner Roger Goodell. So much so that Goodell has greenlit it for the big league.

Deion Sanders Jr. did an impromptu live stream over the Well Off Media YouTube channel, flaring viewers’ envy by showing them around the family’s glorious mansion in Dallas. Which he mostly has to himself right now. Since his dad, Shedeur and Shilo are based in Boulder, Cleveland, and Tampa Bay, respectively. During this live stream, Bucky took occasional questions and cues from the comments. After one viewer asked him whether he and Well Off would continue covering Shilo and Shedeur Sanders in the NFL, he answered in the affirmative. And it’s courtesy of Roger Goodell himself.

“The commissioner gave me access to record in the NFL,” remarked Deion Sanders Jr. If you’re privy to the kind of content he does, you know how difficult this must’ve been. He really does take you behind the curtain with some unprecedented coverage. Again, this circles back to that aforementioned hustler mentality. Because even if your last name is Sanders, you’re not getting this sort of go-ahead from Goodell unless you’re reciprocating this access by increasing interest in the NFL. “But it’s team-based for now,” added Bucky. It makes sense because he and Well Off don’t have the whole shebang right now. You’ve got to produce results first. Which you’d think they will. Speaking of this, Deion Sanders Jr. named which teams and players he’d have access to.

Deion Sanders Jr. reveals a star-studded list of NFL rookies imminently gracing his media platform

Deion Sanders Jr.’s content will primarily still feature Colorado and Coach Prime. Considering he’s now based out in Boulder for the football season. But he confirmed during said livestream that he’ll hit the road and visit NFL franchises as soon as July. While also confirming exactly which players he is permitted to and will cover. No prizes for guessing Shilo and Shedeur Sanders are in the mix.

“I’m going to start moving around and record them in July, when training camp starts. That’s when my Cleveland [Browns] credentials hit. I’m going to be in Tennessee and record Cam Ward. I’m going to record Shilo Shedeur, Travis Hunter, Jimmy Horn Jr. Gonna move around a lot of places,” said Bucky. Travis Hunter’s inclusion is another you’d expect owing to the relationship they have from Colorado. So is new Panthers WR Jimmy Horn Jr. But an intriguing name here is definitely Cam Ward. It’ll be fascinating to see how the No. 1 overall pick is settling in at the Titans from a Well Off lens. How he, as a rookie, goes about being QB1. Apart from these names, Bucky Sanders also mentioned LaJohntay Wester later on. Another Colorado alum and WR who’s now part of the Ravens.

What’s your perspective on:

Is Deion Sanders' parenting the secret sauce behind his sons' success in sports and media?

Have an interesting take?

Deion “Prime” Sanders now has 3—or 4, if you ask him—sons directly involved in the NFL. You’ve got to give him his flowers for that. All his eccentricity and proactivity have netted a very positive outcome. But alas, they’ve all just about got their foot through the door right now. There’s a fair way to go.
