The wedding bells have rung. The Heisman hero, Travis Hunter, stepped out in a while silk suit and gracefully appeared in a private wedding hall at The Barn at Faith Farms to tie the knot with his longtime beau, Leanna Lenee, on May 24. However, it was his gift to his partner that stole most of the attention. A video clip has been going viral where Hunter paused his wedding reception to reveal he got her a brand-new Mercedes G-Wagon! And with all that, he kept his promise from last year, when he stated, “I’m going to marry her once my NFL career starts.” While the celebration was huge, someone important was missing.
Deion Sanders. ‘Coach Prime’ shares a father-son-like relationship with Hunter. In fact, the now-NFL rookie spent his college years playing for Sanders at Jackson State and even followed him to Colorado. After the draft, he returned to Boulder to visit his coach, and the two bonded over all the fishing Hunter could do in Florida. So why was Sanders absent from the wedding?
Well, just hours before the celebration, Deion Sanders posted an update on Instagram where he was seen boarding a private jet. Perhaps he had to handle business somewhere else. It is highly unlikely there is any friction between them, as just days ago the Coach wished his student on his birthday. “Happy Birthday Son. Love ya man. Be Greater & don’t negotiate your Peace.” Additionally, Shedeur and Shilo were also not seen at the wedding, indicating they were busy settling in their respective cities after the draft. With no public acknowledgement or congratulations posted on social media from the Sanders family, fans were left scratching their head… until now!

Deion Sanders Jr. was a part of the celebration. No, he wasn’t physically present, but he is an established musician, and so, his song, ‘All Fall Down’, set the dance floor on fire. An IG story by Kaden Sonnabend showed how Hunter and his guests enjoyed dancing to Junior’s music. Also, Deion Sanders Jr and Travis Hunter had a wholesome reunion at the NFLPA Rookie Premiere for Colorado football a few weeks back! So, Hunter has nothing but love, life, and gratitude for the Sanders, and vice versa.
Now, Travis Hunter is set to enter his first NFL training camp as a married man! He is preparing to become the sport’s first true two-way star in decades. Sure, the Jaguars have a plan for him on both the offense and defense, but that also means the players will have to work harder in an already tough training camp. So he will once again depend on his partner Leanna Lenee’s emotional support and the stability she brings.

However, for now, he aims to spend some quality time with his wife and reminisce about his time in Boulder, especially with the man behind the camera, Deion Sanders Jr.

Travis Hunter couldn’t thank Bucky enough for his Colorado contribution!
The song that they played at the wedding has a unique backstory of its own. Bucky produced this song, exclusively dedicating it to his brothers, Shilo and Shedeur. The lyrics did justice to all the hatred, criticism, and the disparity the brothers have faced both in their collegiate career and in the draft process for the last few months. Their big bro silenced the critics through his verse.
“They don’t feel what we feel—so we move different.”

Maybe, just maybe, playing it at Travis Hunter and Lenee’s wedding hall is a subtle warning to his haters as well, who frowned at their love throughout. After all, there were several rumors on the internet about his girlfriend cheating but Hunter addressed those speculations and shut them down.
But on the other hand, he also didn’t hold back while appreciating all the hard work of Deion Sanders Jr. He crowned Sanders as a “YouTube legend” before paying a sincere token of gratitude a week ago. “We almost started at the same time. He put me on for real bro, I would’ve never started, we at almost 500 subs.” From the gridiron to YouTube, and now to the wedding aisle, Travis Hunter continues to build something special, with love, loyalty, and a little help from the people who have stood by him.
