Deion Sanders has never shied away from the public when it comes to talking about his “divorces” and the subsequent drama. With the Buffs’ massive rise in 2024, one question has always raged in the minds of Coach Prime fans – When is Deion getting married again? Now, a wise man once said, ”Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.” Do you really think Prime Time is going to give this a 3rd shot? Even though ‘3rd times the charm’?

“I feel like, you know, were well versed from our NBA careers to being in trouble off the court, to having baby mama drama,” former NBA star Matt Barnes pointed out. And Deion couldn’t stop himself; “Y’all too?” Coach Prime asked and dapped up Barnes. All of this is happening while Rocsi Diaz sits there, flabbergasted. We don’t even know if we should call Deion and Barnes’ divorce cases “funny” or “life lessons”. Take Deion, for example. Coach Prime’s first marriage with Carolyne Chambers had a solid 9-year run before they called it quits. It was settled peacefully and without any unnecessary drama.

But, my god, the Pilar Sanders scenario was terrible. From challenging the prenuptial agreement to a defamation lawsuit – the entire case had Prime Time fans in a chokehold. Ultimately, Deion won, and Pilar also had to pay around $2 million in the defamation case. Since then? It’s WWIII between those 2.

When Shilo Sanders and Shedeur Sanders tried to do “the impossible” during Senior’s day – all h-ll broke loose. The plan was simple: Deion is going to walk up with Shilo and Shedeur and Pilar would be waiting on the other end to receive them – but boy the moment Coach Prime saw Pilar, he did a 90-degree turn and ran away.

“The biggest blessing that I have in my life is the ability to walk away,” Deion pointed out while talking about the “running away” drama. Hey, kudos to the man for not wanting an unnecessary confrontation. Deion and Pilar both exist on the same “plane of existence,” but they avoid each other – cause if there is anything Star Wars has ever taught us, it’s never put a Sith and a Jedi in the same room.

But what about Matt Barnes? Bet his divorce history isn’t as funny as Deion’s. Right? Yeah, wrong. See, Barnes and Gloria Govan‘s divorce was quite interesting…Primarily because of a 3rd character.

What the NBA star had to go through

Let’s talk about Barnes first. The couple split way back in 2015 and settled for $10k a month. The “interesting” part about this case was Derek Fisher‘s entry. This love triangle was crazy because Barnes and Fisher were reported to be “very close”.

They played for the Lakers for 2 years, and their friendship was quite strong. Now your average “tabloid” started reporting that Barnes turned into Speed Racer and drove 95 MPH to Fisher after discovering his involvement with Govan. “I can’t believe people think I was some maniac driving 95 miles and listening to Tupac to go beat somebody up. No,” Barnes later cleared out the air on the allegations.

This entire scene was “funny” and did keep the NBA world engaged for a while. Regardless, the dust has settled and Barnes is off on his way and enjoying life.
