We already know what’s in store for Shedeur Sanders in the 2025 NFL draft. He can join the team he wants; he just needs to steer clear of a couple of teams that Deion Sanders disapproves of. The East-West Shrine Bowl is starting to clear a little bit of suspense regarding the Buffs’ QB. And that began with the general manager of the Cleveland Browns, who hold the No. 2 pick in this year’s draft.

On January 25, Cleveland Browns beat writer Mary Kay Cabot reported a shocking statement by their GM about Shedeur Sanders. And it looks like the Browns aren’t in Deion Sanders’ red zone area. This is the report—“GM Andrew Berry said @seniorbowl he’s confident that Deion Sanders would be fine with his son, Shedeur, playing for the #Browns.”

Andrew Berry, who is aware of Deion Sanders’ possible intervention with an Eli move, told the media that the Browns don’t fit into that “certain” team category. “I don’t anticipate that being a problem,” he said. The meeting between the Browns and Shedeur Sanders on Friday was a productive and successful one. The 22-year-old signal caller also met with the Tennessee Titans and New York Giants, who hold the No. 1 and No. 3 picks, respectively.

Shedeur Sanders didn’t participate in the games. Rather, he was there to meet with the teams. And he clearly impressed the Browns GM with his poise and demeanor. As Berry recounted, “Shedeur is a really impressive young man. He’s poised, he’s calm, he’s smart, and you can tell that he’s been raised by—quite honestly—a Hall of Fame dad.”

Deion Sanders has been through it all in his 14 seasons in the NFL, which culminated in two Super Bowl wins and his induction to the Pro Football Hall of Fame. But another Sanders isn’t finding the same level of hype as his younger brother.

Deion Sanders diverts his attention to Shilo Sanders

Unlike Shedeur Sanders, Shilo Sanders‘ participation at the East-West Shrine Bowl is earning more criticism than praise. But Deion Sanders isn’t fazed by the criticism that’s coming left and right. In a new X post on Tuesday, he buried all the harsh remarks and gave his son the motivation to fight through negativity.

Uploading the photos of Shilo and Deion Sanders Jr. side by side, he captioned, “@ShiloSanders Proud of son keep on balling! @DeionSandersJr has the receipts.” Maybe Shilo Sanders just needs a little brushing up. The 24-year-old safety stayed out of the football spotlight after their regular season, working on a musical project. But his Shrine Bowl performance disappointed fans, some even suggesting he should stick to acting.

His lackluster performance, especially on one-on-one drills, only raised questions about his draft stocks and his ability to thrive as an NFL prospect. It remains to be seen if Shilo Sanders can up his game and make up for his low performance in the coming weeks. Can we expect a comeback?
