Deion Sanders might be a legend in the NFL, a father of a star quarterback, and a coach of a college football team. However, when it comes to his girlfriend, Karrueche Tran, the Hall of Famer reveals a surprisingly romantic side. Coach Prime, just after a shocking revelation about the state of his relationship amid his battles with cancer, shared a loving message to his actress girlfriend.

“She’s sweet as sugar… You make sure I got what I need, I got what I want, and I’m straight. I love how you love & support those around you, and you always want to involve your people,” Deion Sanders said about Tran.

Coach Prime and Tran, ever since they became public with their relationship, have not stopped acting like every day is Valentine’s Day. Rumors about their relationship began spreading over a year ago, when the pair was seen in Los Angeles. Things remained calm until Tran was seen in a video released by Deion Sanders Jr. on his father’s cancer recovery journey. The video showed her crying beside him as he was about to undergo surgery.

It was during this period of pain and tears that Sanders offered Tran the option to end the relationship. The American socialite revealed how Sanders tried to remind her that she was not in the relationship to “deal with” such a tragedy.

“This man told me, ‘You don’t have to stay. You don’t have to deal with it,” she said. “If I [had] dipped, I would’ve taken the easy way out,” Tran said. “It was hard; it was difficult mentally. But we made it work.”

Sanders also reflected on his thought process when he gave Tran the option to quit, “You didn’t sign up for this. I would not be upset… if you checked out.”

“When I went through what I went through last year, with the cancer, it triggered something in me that said, ‘start living. I gotta start enjoying life; that’s what God has whispered to me.”

Now cancer-free, the couple has moved past that difficult period and continues to share their love story with fans.

Deion Sanders and Karrueche Tran’s Valentine’s Day

The couple took their Valentine’s Day preparations to another level last month. They planned an early dinner date, a jazz night, a train ride, a spa, and a little vacation. Sanders disclosed all of these on a call with Tran while he was live on We Got Time Today, a weekly talk show on Tubi co-hosted by Sanders and Rocsi Diaz.

“We have a cute little weekend planned,” Tran said, providing a better option to the seafood-loving Sanders, who would have been satisfied with a trip to Red Lobster instead. Sanders bulged, “I have to eat linner. I can’t do dinner, because if I do dinner, it ain’t gonna be no more. So we do linner, like a late lunch.”

The spa trip caused some humorous disagreement between the lovers after Tran insisted she would force Sanders, who hates the spa for obvious reasons. However, love brought them to a compromise.

“I don’t need nobody rubbing on me; I’m straight, I’m good,” he said before yielding to Tran’s suggestion for a facial. “I don’t mind a facial, but ain’t nobody rubbing on me. Like, you want to get a couple’s massage? So, you want me to sit there and watch a dude rub on you? That’s not gonna happen. I don’t get down like that. He won’t do his job while I’m sitting there.”

Sanders and Tran’s love is a complete package, featuring romance, care, and some jots of jealousy as well. Having weathered the storm of a life-threatening disease alongside Sanders, Tran deserves every gesture of love from her man.
