Deiondra gave birth to Deion’s first grandchild, Snow, on August 9—coincidentally, on Deion’s 57th birthday. Since then, the world has seen glimpses of Deion’s transition into his new role as a grandpa. We saw Deion’s updates regarding his newfound role as a grandpa, his words tinged with a slight quiver, as if uncertain of the responsibilities that lay ahead. But this time, with sweaty palms and a racing heart, the busy coach is prepared to meet two-month-old Snow.

On October 25, Deiondra shared a video on her Instagram story with the caption, “Snow is going to Colorado.” The footage showed piles of baby clothes—an explosion of colors that gave the scene a joyful, rainbow-like vibe. Since Snow is still a newborn, the sheer number of outfits hints that the family’s trip to Colorado will be a long one.

Today, we have an update from the couple. Deiondra’s husband, Jacquees, shared an Insta post featuring the duo and their kid with the caption, “Snow’s first flight.“ In one of the pictures, we have smiling Deiondra and Jacquees, with the mother holding on to Snow as he embarks on his first-ever flight experience.

But how did Deion react to meeting Snow for the first time? His initial response hasn’t been made public, but his words during an earlier interview give us a clue about the excitement he felt. “Being a first-time grandfather is wonderful. I’ve never said that before,” Deion shared. Reflecting on his first meeting with his grandson, he added, “It was great to just see my grandson, say a few words, and watch his smile and facial expressions.”

What makes this visit even more special is that it will be Snow’s first time in Colorado. Deiondra Sanders wasn’t able to visit her father during her pregnancy due to some complications. However, Deion managed to visit her in Atlanta whenever his busy schedule allowed—fitting in trips between brand endorsements and award shows. Now that her pregnancy is behind her, Deiondra is back to living her usual life, attending R&B concerts and supporting singer Jacquees at parties.

Notably, this trip to Colorado marks the first time she’ll reunite with her dad since Snow’s birth. And sure, she deserves some good pampering from Papa Prime after all that she’s been through!

Now that a few months have passed, we can only hope Deiondra is past the toughest part of postpartum recovery. Even if she had to push through some difficult moments, she knows it’s all worth it for someone as precious as Baby Snow.

This visit to Colorado marks a new chapter—not just for Deiondra and Baby Snow but for Grandpa Prime too.
